Garden Macro Tick

Nothing beats the joy of emptying the garden moth trap and finding a really smart garden macro tick. Something big and brash, colourful and rare. I say nothing; obviously there are lots of things that are more joyous and fulfilling, but not at that time of the morning on your own in the garden. Also, I say big and brash, rare and colourful. This one was more medium and dull, commonish and brown. Still, a garden macro tick all the same .....

Heart and Club - Garden Tick - Macro 298

The traps were actually very good last night, but I was late home from work and haven't got the list into MapMate yet, or the photos sorted out, so you'll have to wait.

Great job, and about time?! hehe, I remember these out-numbering Heart & Darts in my old cottage garden. Now i'm back to realty with 2 or 3 per night.

Long overdue in some respects Ben, but you'd be amazed how infrequently this species is recorded in VC55 - and I'm sure it's not being overlooked.

Nope, pretty distintive species, occasionally confused with Turnip as the ground colour is very similiar.
Yes i've yet to see common species like Scarce Umber and Small Angle Shades!
