From The Garden Trap - 26/06/2011

With the KQ session on Saturday night and a couple of excellent garden nights on Sunday and Monday, there been a lot of transcribing, photographind and MapMating to do so there's a bit to catch up on.

Firstly, just to note that the KQ list is still under development! I managed to finish my part of the list earlier this evening and it is awaiting combining with Adrian's traps. I'll summarise this list once done, but from just my traps the list is already 3005 individuals of 188 species - it's going to be a bloody big list!

Sunday night was superb in the garden, and I was up at the crack of dawn on Monday to eagerly go through the traps. I wasn't disappointed either, as I picked up 2 more garden micro ticks.

Total catch 394 of 95sp.

FIRST FOR GARDEN:
0148 Nemophora degeerella 1
0435 Zelleria hepariella 1

Nemophora degeerella - a bit knackered but .....

Sadly the Zelleria hepariella managed to evade the camera when it flew up and disappeared into the mothing equivalent of the Bermuda Triangle that exists in my kitchen - over the years a fair few moths have vanished in there without trace.
