They seem to have increased quite dramatically in recent years - hopefully they aren't having a serious effect on the ground-nesting waders etc.The Leicester Llamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16726759603199971409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1246763419709722582.post-37740605181626129982008-02-21T17:11:00.000+00:002008-02-21T17:11:00.000+00:00Hadn't realised that Andy - I guess they are more ...Hadn't realised that Andy - I guess they are more like the Polecat-Ferret type (not sure if these are 'hybrids' or just ferrets marked like Polecats?). Are there any albino ferrets at large on Shetland aswell? What they need up there is a crowd of 4x4 driving red coat wearing fat in-bred country based fuckwit toffs like I saw at Eyebrook doing a 'Mink count'! Fully agree with eradicating vermin and introduced pests but there are better ways than using a pack of dogs and making a sport of it.Skevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05601888498478097564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1246763419709722582.post-68507191155327069942008-02-21T08:34:00.000+00:002008-02-21T08:34:00.000+00:00Just as well they are absolutely crap at establish...Just as well they are absolutely crap at establishing feral populations... except on Shetland, where there are hundreds of the buggers! The Leicester Llamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16726759603199971409noreply@blogger.com
